Bring grippers to get down the hill. As always the upper portion is good.
Eagle Beach was a little too soft to skate on, but the classic track looked a bit better everywhere but in the trees along the river by the bridge.
Montana Creek is groomed for classic and skating. There was about 6 inches of new snow early this morning—Get it while you can.
Rolled the trails this morning, and set classic track. Mostly good, but watch out for this spots back under the trees.
I rolled and groomed Mendenhall and it went from about 6 fresh inches to 1 1/2 inches groomed. So there’s enough to classic without tracks set (too Shallow) and skating at least for the early part of the day. No one was out there skating by the time I left at 9. Classic skiers there were satisfied. Not much depth to push off with for skaters but should last until the rain deteriorates it later today.
Headed out early to try rolling and then grooming, depending upon depth of snow. Will post after finished and back home. This might be only day possible at campground if forecast holds for rain to follow.
Montana creek groomed for skate. Upper two k is in great shape. 8 degrees at 11am
