Groomed for skate ski. 1245 38F and light rain. Classic track looked good. Some debris on trail. Snow getting soft, did not use the teeth just the comb, it looked nice after finished. Also groomed the meadow.
Lower Eaglecrest fantastic today for a fat man on fish scale nordic skiis. The grab is good on the steep uphill parts. About an inch of new snow.
Grooming will be done by 11am. Light snow falling, and no wind.
I reset the skating track this morning. I didn’t have time to reset the striding lanes but they appeared to be holding up well. Near perfect conditions and blue sky to boot.
Scott just finished grooming the campground. Skate lane is very skiable, but watch for spruce needles scattered everywhere on the trail.
Cookies and cream is better than no ice cream at all. Almost like there may have been some sort of wind event dropping assorted debris. Looks like it will ski fine. Groomed this morning for skate and classic, classic track set a little shallow, couldn’t get the setter to take a deep bite.
Conditions are excellent for skating and classic even though they haven’t groomed since Monday morning. The winds are gone and so is most of the tree debris. Get vitamin D ~9:20 for an hour and again at 11 ish.
