Eagle Beach groomed for skate and classic at 8am Sunday. Skate is mostly excellent (see below) and the classic track is hard and fast – a double-pole demon day. There is tree debris in the track on the back loop; nevertheless, if you plan to skate bring your crash helmet, goggles, and full-body air bags – the track is that fast.
Will post later today after coming back.
Lower loop is being groomed every day for skate and classic. Wind debris on track. Classic track blown out by wind in exposed places. Still good skiing. Cold!
Groomed for skate and classic but there is wind blown debris on track but skiable
Groomed for Skate and Classic. Roman says there is wind blown debris on trail but it is skiable.
The Eaglecrest Skate Technique and Fitness 4 week program starts tomorrow, Saturday, Jan 7. There is still plenty of room for skiers in this class. Designed for skate skiers who are already somewhat comfortable on their skate skis and want to refine and develop technique plus work on improving overall fitness. Call the Eaglecrest Snowsports School 790-2000 ext 211. All classes will be held on the lower loop.
Both places groomed out really well. Nice snow dust on the skate track makes for fast skating and glide is great too. Eagle Beach will be groomed again tomorrow night.
