The main trails were rolled and groomed this afternoon. Many folks out there enjoying the trails today commented on the good skate skiing conditions. The classic track was NOT set today.
After 3 hrs of grooming and getting the snowmobile stuck 5 times, I gave up on Setting the classic track. Anyone else wanna donsome grooming there tomorrow?
Expect to be done around 10 but it will take at least 6 passes to compact and set tracks.
Scott did his usual thorough job grooming the campground for skate and classic. Conditions are excellent. Many people out there already today but it seems to be holding up well. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Montana Creek groomed for skate and classic
As of Tuesday afternoon, the lower loop had good conditions for classic or touring skis. There was about 3 inches of light snow over the packed track that Nate Abbott left when the the cat. No need for rock skis, just a few blueberry twigs showing here and there.
I asked about using my snowmobile to set a classic track, but the EC staff would like me to wait until we get a few more inches of snow. Hopefully we will get that snow today and tonight if the forecast pans out. In the meantime, the skier set tracks are still fun skiing and a good workout.
Tuesday night cold but awesome
