The lake was great skate skiing again today. About and inch or two of snow over the ice, with fairly good adhesion over most of the lake – a few places where your skis slip out. It will probably be good again on Friday if it doesn’t get windy and blow all of the snow off the ice. Get out there if you get the chance!
Groomed MC last night at 5pm. It will be fantastic this morning.
Single Atomic skate ski spotted leaning against telephone pole in front of Douglas PO today Wed Feb 22 around 1 pm. Maybe it fell off of a car? Orange red color.
A friend sent me a message that they saw a single Atomic skate ski leaning against a telephone pole in front of the Douglas Post Office today, Wed, Feb 22 around 1 p.m. Orange-ish red color. Maybe it fell off of someone’s car?
Excellent Skate Skiing. Stay away from Glacier Terminus.
Avoid Nugget Creek inflow. Use caution near Shore.
Skate skiing is excellent.
Classic track shallow but fair.
Just skated three laps on great snow. Del and Don just finished doing four laps with the rake and Ginzu to level it and create that perfect one+ inches of powder on top. Skating is wonderful and classic track is light as thin snow makes it hard to push the tracker in very far. You can ski down from the first bench beyond the first hill. No creepers necessary, just walk in with your boots.
