Super corn, grooming miracle, sweet skate skiing. Thanks for keeping at it! Pretty high humidity snow (100% says Odin). Couple spots where the wet snow slowed the glide but excellent for working on technique, especially V2.
Lower loop had about an inch of wet snow on the ungroomed trail. Corn snow not sticky like yesterday and more manageable for an overweight dude on waxless classic skis.
Why wait for Spring and risk the sunburn? Ski the corn today! Lightly raining and trace new snow this morning. Groomed for skate and classic. Skate looks like soft corn in skate lane, good with some icy sections in the classic track.
Grooming Montana Creek At 9:00 am.
Lower loop was in excellent condition this morning: an inch of new snow and beautiful grooming. Strong south wind.
Groomed over a few inches of fresh snow. Conditions very good
The Lower Loop was excellent for skating as the corduroy is soft, but not deep, perfect for those high speed turns. The classic track was shallow. Swix Blue 45 offered a decent kick midday.
