Eagle Beach conditions are very similar to Montana Creeks. There’s a firm snow base and nice corduroy for skaters with a great classic track. I also touched up the Methodist Loop, and there’s more snow out the road so conditions should last a few more days in this warm weather.
Returned repaired Ginzu to Montana Creek and check it out
by grooming again at 3:30 PM. A good evening to check out
the ****star conditions.
Headed out there now to groom around noon. Will post after returning but conditions there should be similiar to Montana Ck.’s
Scott just called in from Montana Creek. He was able to groom for skate and classic and said it set up nicely. Going out to meet him right now!
The campground was wet and slushy, but surprisingly skiable. Skate skiing was fast and fun with a group of about 20 young aspiring racers tonight. As long as there is snow cover, our groomers will make sure we have trails to ski on!
Montana Creek at 3 pm was still pretty good for skate and classic, despite the rain. It was groomed all the way to the end and sounds better than what I heard about the Campground.
The Upper Loop will not be groomed today through at least Wednesday, and the Lower Loop is unskiable; maybe try it in shoeshoes? Any grooming after Thursday is a toss-up depending on amount of rainfall. Stay tuned for up-date on Thursday.
