Still looking for the Nordic signs that were in the Camp Ground
Has anyone seen our Ski Signs that were in the Camp Ground? The USFS does not have them. Wondering if someone picked them up.
Up there around 10am today – walk almost to the bridge to get to the snow – icy and rutted not particularly good for classic or skate – more like adventure skiing – trying to stay upright – if it warms up to make the snow slushy could be okay
My wife skied Eagle Beach this afternoon. Said there was enough snow and good spring skiing.
Upper Loop: Ray and I tried to set a loop above the base of Black Bear Chair. The Classic setter did not want to sink into the snow for a good Classic Track. Even with 225 lbs. of weight on it. It is skiable but an Adventure.
Ray and I are taking the Can Am with roller and classic setter to Upper Loop tomorrow. Will post what the out come is.
No grooming at camp ground until there is several inches of snow. Maybe there will be a big dump next week!
