I estimate snow is about 6 inches deep just past the containers to 18 inches at the bridge to 2 feet at the end of the trail! Lots of song birds out now flitting across the trail and Montana Creek has lots of water. Tracks are soft from the containers down that first little hill, then it’s smooth steady sailing from there. Thanks for the continued grooming!
Chris did a nice thorough job grooming for skate and classic.. Nice spring skiing. Start a little ways down the first hill past conex.
Found a SWIX ski strap like the image with the name “LILY” on it at Montana Creek parking lot today. I bet it just melted out! Mark- 321 4997
Hike to conex snow starts there.
The glide should be good.
Grooming starts a little downhill from containers but then it’s good.
Odin is right. The classic tracks are very nice. Also noticed the buckets of dog business at the entrance – still more on the course. I don’t remember if there is a bag dispenser there are not. I am sure a good bit of this is from dog walkers rather than skiers.
I am not the skier posing – just a fellow skier socializing at the proper distance. Yes, my ski poles are bamboo from Garry King’s in Anchorage circa 1978
Thank you groomers
May Day May Day! Montana Creek, still grooming, and skiing, after 5.5 months. The classic track was good today.
