Grooming starts a little downhill from containers but then it’s good.
Odin is right. The classic tracks are very nice. Also noticed the buckets of dog business at the entrance – still more on the course. I don’t remember if there is a bag dispenser there are not. I am sure a good bit of this is from dog walkers rather than skiers.
I am not the skier posing – just a fellow skier socializing at the proper distance. Yes, my ski poles are bamboo from Garry King’s in Anchorage circa 1978
Thank you groomers
May Day May Day! Montana Creek, still grooming, and skiing, after 5.5 months. The classic track was good today.
Many thanks to the woman with two small children who was spending her afternoon cleaning up after other people’s dogs.
The lower loop still has skiable snow. Although dirty and ungroomed, it is surprisingly fun classic skiing. I had to go up to do some sign cleanup on the trail and stayed to keep skiing because it was so very pleasant. Patches of muskeg are starting to show in the meadow and the creeks are running in the forest areas.
Groomed for skate and classic. Good an springy. Start at top of hill. Classic starts after Bridge.
Set skate and classic. Need to walk up to the containers . Good after that.
