Lower loop took a big hit with today’s rain and warm temps. Upper loop is excellent for skate and classic skiing and is holding up well.
The road was rolled this morning and a Classic track was set with Ginzu this afternoon. Places on road has wet spots. If is gets cold and freezes it will be very good for grooming with Ginzu. Think freezing!
Mc groomed for skat and classic. Great conditions
This is the best spring skiing we’ve had all winter. Get some.
Del is rolling pioneer road. 3/4”wet snow. Classic set maybe this afternoon
3 to 4” new wet snowy. Del is rolling this morning. Maybe classic track later today
Eaglecrest got a big dump of snow these past two days and the lower loop is back! They are grooming for skate and classic every morning but all the new snow fills in the track by the afternoon. I was pleased to see more of the meadow loop groomed to the point that it is now complete. Guy’s Loop (aka the interval loop) was also groomed. Fish Creek loop is nicely filled in. When you ski every bit of the groomed trail it comes to 5.5 km and is very fun! Snow was saturated so waxing is tricky. I found my pattern-based waxless skis worked best although I didn’t have a chance to try my skin skis. Zero skis iced up but that might have been operator error. Upper loop still being groomed daily. Enjoy!
