Grooming completed Great conditions
I noticed this morning the groomer rolled the track and then left. Was it something I said? No, it’s not you or your outfit. The groomer is allowing the track to harden before applying the ginzu finishing touches about 2 hours later.
There is a skate Sprint tomorrow Saturday on the lower loop at 10:30. Come before get your heart rate up before making your turns on the hill.
The full loop is in just like the good ole days plus some extra mini loops here and there. Great conditions but a little soft. It didn’t start snowing until 10:30.
Classic and skate set. Wet but nice
As of last week ice coring, Lake is not considered to be thick or stable for grooming.
Groomed late Wed afternoon. Set a double classic track as it was very soft for skating. Snow cover thin in places especially in the tall trees section. Waiting for more snow before grooming again – maybe Saturday?
Wayne gave the Pioneer a fantastic groom this afternoon! Despite the warm, wet conditions, 25 of us on the team had a really good, long classic ski this afternoon, finishing at 7:00 pm. The grip wax was red 75 klister. A couple skate skiers said it was surprisingly good and firm skiing for them. A few spots are getting thin – hope we get some more snow soon. Thanks!
