I’ll start grooming about 10:30 Monday am.
Droopy eyelids, Resting B’ Face? C’mon out. The ATV guy busted through the dirty layers, And clean up, left a fresh track! Talk about lemonade. It is soft and why people want to walk their dogs in the dank woods and not at the beach today, I just don’t know. But the corduroy and new classic track looked nice at noon.
Classic Xcd Upper Loop Saturday afternoon. Apparently had not been groomed since the 21st (?). Several “water hazards” to navigate and many pole plants went straight through the weak, soft snowpack with no bottom. And, large portions of classic track were either missing or shallow from melt. Was stopped from skiing down the backside track by a previously flooded area covered with dirt. Still, had several lengthy passages with decent snow and overall a gratifying afternoon.
5pm. 45 degrees. Good snow depth. Damp & dense corn snow. Skate track eviscerated by ATV. Classic track survived in spite of some spots chomped-out by ATV. Had a good classic ski tonight. But, the whole 3 km skate track is a groomer’s challenge due to the ATV tracks.
As of 1pm not groomed – Forget about skating. Classic doable. Some imbecile drove a 4 wheeler down the road after it was groomed yesterday and trashed the trail. Whomever is grooming will have their work cut out for them.
Groomed at noon. Softer than yesterday because it didn’t freeze last night. Classic track still in good shape. Some debris on trail but gooming helped. Still decent skiing.
After being gone for a week, Montana Creed exceed my expectations for classic. Yes, a bit icy on the top and first 20m down the hill, but after that, oh my what a great time. Better Wed than Tue. Thank you groomers
