It’s a taxing day but there’s luv too. Last day of grooming TODAY. Alas it’s getting difficult for the grooming equipment–spring is here as is gravel and ice. There’s still decent skate skiing but you should hoof it up past the first curve beyond the bridge to avoid the main bare area–I’d still recommend using your rock skis today. Once you’ve navigated a little ice (I’ll do my best to score the surface) on the lower trail, it gets fairly good with decent snow coverage for the upper 1 12 km. Have a luvly last day of groomed trail skiing at Montana Creek!
I’ll groom starting about 8:00 and should be ready to ski about 8:30-9:00.
You sexy groomers 😍 2k skates fast at 10:30 Saturday, classic looks good too😚. Let’s make a date for Sunday😉
Groomed early today , Upper half excellent for skate skiing.
Lower section from bridge to Slide zone icy .
Will be groomed again on Sunday Morning.
Grouse are hooting.
Trail has more ice than yesterday on the first part of the trail and the first gravel has appeared just past Montana Creek bridge. A classic track was set yesterday afternoon starting about 1/4 of the way up the trail and looks in fair condition.
I’ll begin grooming about 8:00 this morning. I’ll post afterwards.
I’ll start grooming montana Creek about 7:30. Should be ready to ski by 8:30. It froze last night so will probably have to wait until the snow softens up to set a classic track. Should be some good spring corn snow this morning!
