Lower Loop classic track

I will set a classic track on the Eaglecrest lower loop by noon today. Waiting for a bit more snow, as of yesterday afternoon the trail needed another 3-4 inches to set a classic track. However, the skiing with only a skier-made track was surprisingly good for only a 3 inch packed base, good snow coverage on the gravel trail, no bare spots, with a few icy spots from runoff.

No dogs on the groomed lower loop trail, please, they ruin the narrow classic track. You can snowshoe or walk your dog on the ungroomed Lower Meadows trail or up the Eaglecrest mountain road, or ski with your dog on the wider trails at the campground or Montana Creek. Thanks.

I will be working the Nordic Trails supervisor position again at Eaglecrest, part time, and need to hire 1-2 others especially on weekends, several hours a day. You can get paid with a free season pass, or alpine day passes, or be on the payroll. Contact me if you want to get paid to x-c ski and talk to people!! kenleghorn@gmail.com
Meanwhile Jack is starting to volunteer groom the Lower Loop with his own snow machine, classic only. EC machinery will need lots more snow.
