I groomed with the roller and grooming bar this morning, and it’s good to go. Probable 3 on the 5 scale for both skate and classic. Wonderful conditions at noon with blue sky and sun breaking through the earlier fog.
Steve tried the Ginzu this morning but could not turn around with the ice under the snow. After I skied I used the roller with classic setter and set a track up and back. Then made another trip with just the roller.
Skiers said the Classic was good. I would give it ** overall with *** for Skate. It is getting thin. We need it to freeze and snow. At the top we go to the pavement with the machine skies so is very hard to turn around.
I heard that the snow was thin in the campground. If you go us your old skies.
I rolled and packed the campground this morning. The snow really stuck to the roller, so the surface is clumpy and soft. No good for skating, but okay for classic. Where I set a track, the classic skiing was good and fast. Our Skidoo continues to lug down, even after its third trip back to the dealer to fix it, so I was unable to smooth out the packed surface or set the Methodist Camp loop.
Great classic ski up Montana creek. No track yet but plenty of snow. Thanks Don and Del
Went back out this afternoon with fuel and there’s lots more snow. So rolled in again from Gate to end of trail. Did not set a classic track. Should be able to get one set tomorrow.
Montana Creek rolled this morning for Skate. Don gave it a *** rating . I rolled it twice from Bridge up. There is a two roller track down the hill to bridge. Could not groom to gate as skies go to pavement and a can not move. I posted this at noon but for some reason it did not go through.
