I rolled the gravel trail section of the lower loop last night. The muskeg areas need a couple more days of cold weather to freeze up enough for grooming. The crust did not turn into corduroy, more of just packed snow, but at least the breakable crust has been packed down. Conditions for skating fair, a bit soft and chunky. I’m going to stick with my touring skis for now. But hey, for November 5th, we are lucky to have skiable snow. No classic track set yet, maybe tomorrow or Saturday.
