The Juneau Nordic Ski Team (JNST) invites you to ski with us on March 1 for the Ski for Cold event. The goal is to ski as many kilometers as possible in one day and raise funds for the Team. This is not a race, whether you ski 5 km or 50 Km, it all adds together. Food and music to fuel our skiing will be provided.
Last year during this event 198 people joined together to ski 3,334 kilometers! We hope to ski farther together in 2020. Everyone is welcome. Through the event the JNST and JNSC hope to raise awareness about climate change and raise funds for the Nordic youth ski programs in Juneau.
Time: Skiing begins at 9 am and will continue until 5 pm – join us anytime
Location: Eaglecrest Lower Loop including the Dog Loop (conditions permitting)
We also invite you to participate by sponsoring a youth skier or by making a donation. You can donate on the Juneau Nordic Ski Club website with a credit card go to https://www.jnski.org/support-youth-nordic-programs/. Or call Mo Michels, Youth Program Director, at 907-903-2307 and she’ll help you connect to a ski team member to make a donation.
